Built by people who've stood on the track.

ApexRail exists because the railway runs on people, not paperwork. We supply the workforce — and the tools to keep them safe and accounted for.

Why we exist

A workforce partner that understands the railway

Rail projects don't fail because the engineering is wrong. They fail because the right person wasn't on the right piece of track at the right time, properly briefed and accounted for.

ApexRail was built to close that gap — combining experienced rail recruiters with a digital platform that replaces the paper sign-in sheet, so supervisors always know exactly who's on site.

What we care about

The principles behind every placement

Safety first, safety always

No one we place steps onto a site without a confirmed briefing. It's not a policy line — it's built into how check-in works.

Compliance without the chase

PTS, Sentinel and competency checks are tracked from day one, so you're not chasing paperwork mid-project.

People, not headcount

We build long relationships with the workers we place — fewer no-shows, better retention, crews who know the job.

A record, not a guess

Every shift is logged and archived automatically — so when something needs reviewing, the answer is already there.

Built for the trackside, not the office

Our tools are designed to work on a phone, in the rain, in under ten seconds — not behind a desk.

Honest about what we don't know

If a role needs expertise outside our specialism, we'll say so rather than place the wrong person for the sake of it.

Our story

From a paper sign-in sheet to a national workforce platform

ApexRail grew out of a simple frustration shared by site supervisors across the network: nobody could say, with confidence, exactly who was on site. We set out to fix that — first as a tool, then as a workforce partner built around it.

PHASE 1

The check-in problem

Site supervisors were reconciling paper sign-in sheets by hand, often hours after a shift had already started.

PHASE 2

ApexRail Connect is built

A digital check-in app, gated behind a safety briefing, designed to work in seconds from any phone.

PHASE 3

The workforce side follows

Recruitment and labour supply built around the same principle: the right, briefed, accounted-for person on site.

TODAY

One partner, both halves

ApexRail now supplies the people and the platform that tracks them — so clients never have to reconcile the two.

Our people

Recruiters who know the difference between a COSS and a PTS card

Every ApexRail consultant works exclusively within rail — no generalists, no guesswork.
